Teodor is a Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Glasgow with a diverse academic background. He completed his primary education in England and his secondary education at an international school in Germany. Teodor firmly believes that a positive attitude towards learning is the foundation of academic success. He sees stress and anxiety as the primary obstacles to fostering such an attitude and advocates for creating a stress-free learning environment by building the student’s academic confidence. Teodor experienced a significant drop in his academic confidence during the COVID-19 lockdowns in his final years of secondary school, which he now recognises profoundly impacted his performance. This experience drives him to strive to instil confidence in his students by identifying and nurturing their strengths to help them overcome their weaknesses. He believes that "Everyone learns in their own ways; we should celebrate and use that." After graduating with a 2:1 History degree from Manchester Metropolitan University, Patrick continues to pursue his passion in the field and is currently undertaking a Masters Degree in ‘Public History & Heritage. Although Patrick’s specialist knowledge lies in American history and conflict, his interests and skills can readily be applied to the current GCSE and A-Level courses in English Literature, Language and History respectively.

Paul started in a photographic career working primarily in an editorial environment, although spending time with University College London developing innovative techniques in the field of orthopaedic medical photography. In the early 1990’s he developed and founded a workshop, in pinhole photography, for an Educational Trust in Liverpool. This early work with primary children led to him retrain as a teacher, taking up his first post in a large primary school of 400+ children in south Manchester. His career developed with his experience and he took on senior leadership roles in a large Cheshire school before embarking on headship in a small, village school. As the ‘head learner’ he has encouraged teachers, children (and their parents) to develop a growth mindset and not to worry too much about getting things wrong sometimes – that is how we learn and we simply have to get ‘back in the boat’ and try again. Working in a small school has always meant a teaching commitment which has allowed him to maintain a connection with children and their learning, something which has been important. Paul left headship in December 2020, after thirteen years, to explore other areas of education and use his experience to support children in their learning further
